Of course I once preffered empty praise.
I was young and shallow. An older man is more restrained. We can see ourselves for the shallow vessel we are.

I still like empty praise, and I’m sixty one. It cheers up my day. That’s why AI does it all the time. Even my stupidest queries get the warm response That’s A Really Good Question, Well Done For Thinking Of It.
I know it’s only a computer and it’s programmed to say it, but it makes me feel better anyway.
I don’t mind being shallow.
Shallow water is warmer and less scary.
Lol- I do mind being shallow but then I am older than you. I enjoy being deep and dark, lol- but thats me being a deep dark and mysterious fool.
