“To define health and satiety, to penetrate their causes and conditions, is quite another thing from being well and satisfied.”

My friend, put down your books before the sun sets tonight. You have read many words about how to free your soul, yet you must ask yourself if you truly feel that freedom in your heart or only in your mind. Reading of renunciation does not make you detached; knowing the laws of drunkenness does not cure the man who is drunk.

I know the fear that keeps you from action because it feels safer to discuss the cure than to take the medicine. But certainty is a taste, not a proof found in pages. You must leave your chair and enter the fire of practice, for the last stage cannot be reached by mere instruction alone. The purified heart remains empty unless you fill it with the invocation of His holy name, letting go of every tyrannical passion that claims to be your master.
