“She had, according to her opportunities, thought and pondered, striven and suffered, dived into the depths of existence, and achieved something which surely cannot be without its value to people whose evolution in history took a different way altogether.”

I watched a child pick up a fallen leaf and trace the veins where the sun had touched it before the wind moved it. In that quiet moment, he did not seek to own the tree, nor to cut it down for timber. He simply listened to what the leaf whispered of the season passing. This is the work of the soul: to dive into the depths of existence not with a net for capture, but with open hands ready to receive whatever truth lies hidden beneath the surface.

I ask you to sit quietly before your own window tonight and watch the light fall upon the dust motes dancing in the air. Do not try to name them or trap them in a jar. Let them be exactly what they are, small fragments of the infinite universe moving freely. In that stillness, you will find the meeting place where your heart touches the heart of the world, and you will know that every struggle, every sorrow, was part of this great cultivation of the spirit.
